After receiving numerous enquiries from our community of corporates, startups and investors, I decided to create an open list of on-going startup innovation calls, corporate accelerators, funding programmes, and curated resources on Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The aim of this open knowledge base is to help European and UK companies to save time on market research and business development in the fast growing region.

About Zhilin SIM
Having worked and lived in Singapore, the Nordics, China, Spain, UK, I’m now based in Paris.
I’m fluent in English, French and Mandarin, and I’m learning Arabic because it’s a beautiful and fascinating language.
My team creates and supports 1-many initiatives connecting corporate and startup ecosystems in Europe to business and innovation opportunities in Singapore (SG) and Southeast Asia (SEA).
I strongly believe in supporting innovation initiatives which drive sustainability and encourage diversity (e.g. All in Tech, AMPLIFY Paris female founders pitch competition, she1K’s C-Shark Tank, Women’s Forum etc).
Examples (non-exhaustive) of these initiatives include:
- Investor/corporate-scaleup matching platforms (e.g. Singapore Europe Innovation Partnership Forum which I built from scratch with a pioneer team of partners)
- Exclusive Singapore flagship events at key European business conferences (e.g. Vivatech, London Tech Week, Slush, UK Fintech Week, World Economic Forum)
- Strategic marketing partnerships (SG Content Hub on Germany’s FAZ newspaper)
- SG Investment Clinic (I conceptualised, designed and built EDB Singapore’s first learning portal for companies expanding into Singapore and Southeast Asia. It includes “Ask EDB Anything” live chats, Community Forums and Bite-sized FAQ Videos to help companies to succeed in the region.
I’m from the lead government agency (EDB Singapore) in charge of Singapore’s economic strategy. We design and implement industry development initiatives like Smart Nation, Urban Mobility, Advanced Manufacturing, Design 2025, Digitalisation, and Market Access strategies for Asia.
